Okay, just got back from seeing Evan Almighty. It was really good. They easily tied it into Bruce Almighty as Evan Baxter was the guy who got the news anchor job and Bruce made him speak in jibberish. If you've seen Bruce Almighty I know you know of the part of which I speak. He becomes a Congressman and wants to "Change the World". Noble cause. Well, he gets noticed and the laughes get rolling along. The movie was really well done with a lot of comedy yet still keeping the story movie. Yes, it actually had a point. I know amazing. Anyways, I have to tell you I was really pleased that they didn't just dumb down the comedy or throw a lot of profanity into it. In fact I don't think there was any profanity. They even did a play on that with "SHEEEEP". If you saw the previews I'm sure you know the part I'm talking about. So yeah, good movie. Actually, good family movie. You can feel safe in taking the family to see it if you feel so inclined but even if you don't have/want to take the family but want to see a good comedy this would be a pretty good one to see.
