I just got done reading Marvel Comics House of M graphic novel.
The are was done well. The story concept was decent. I mean I really thought the idea could work in the comic realm. I also knew that anything they did in the book would somehow be undone so everything would be back to status quo. Well, I was mostly right.
The thing that got me is that the second issue didn’t seem to need to exist. I will have to re-read it but it didn’t seem to help the overall story. That coupled with the fact that even though this is suppose to be able to stand on it’s own (which it pretty much does) you can sense that a lot of story is left out. It is kind of like another Marvel product also mutant related: X-Men 3.
Don’t get me wrong I’m not saying I didn’t enjoy either of them but I kind of wish they would just let the FULL story unfold for us. Don’t try to cram too much into such a small package and call it complete when it clearly has more to tell.
I guess you could say in a sense it did what it was suppose to do. It made me want more. So when thinking of it that way House of M is a clear success because I really do want to read more of that storyline now.
