Merry Christmas

Hey Everyone,

Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Hope you get everything you want. :)

Ever want to do a comic?

Ever been interested in doing a comicbook? Ever think about doing it online as a webcomic? The guys from Half Pixel would like to guide you along. Half Pixel, or as they are probably better known:

Not too long ago they purchased the internet domain webcomics.com and are now running it as a HOW TO kind of site for those who would be interested in getting into the field.

Have a look. Really good stuff.

Google's Chrome covered browser

I've been trying very hard to keep my technology based blog and this site somewhat separate but I've found something that blurs the two. Google, the enormously popular search engine has come out with their own web browser called Chrome.
So why is this worthy of a post here? Well, they had a fellow most of you should know by the name of Scott McCloud create an online comicbook that explains what Chrome is and some of it's important features. I thought it was well done. It also shows an aspect that I think most people don't normally see from standard comics. Comics could easily be used as an easy to follow guide. Something between textbook and presentation but better than both. Have a look and judge for yourself. :)

Pretty Cool

Saw this over at Aint it Cool News. Firebeather, The Mice Templar, and The Vanishers are all getting made into TV movies. Firebreather and The Mice Templar, both Image published books, will be computer animated while The Vanishers, published by IDW, will be live action.

Like I said in the title, pretty cool. Tip of the hat goes to Cartoon Network for doing it. :)

weird

Okay, had to do a little site maintenance today as I posted a few articles in the forums over the past month.Just movies I've seen. You can read them here, here, here, and here. OR you can read them as you normally would since they should now be on the site properly. :) That was the problem. They never seemed as being published for anyone to read. Sorry about that. I have been doing stuff on the site. Really I have. :) I know the last one works as I just posted it. :)

Anyways, again sorry if you have been looking for stuff from us and finding nothing. Also, if you find us filling your RSS feed that would be from this problem too.

Lastly, you can always join us and participate. We would love to hear others feedback and comments. :)

On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness, Episode One

I don't normally talk about games even though I do love playing them. I just don't have the time to dedicate to it. Anyways, I couldn't ignore this. This one is for you fans of Penny Arcade. What is it? Well, it's an episodic game that is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It has the Penny Arcade guys set in a 1920's universe. It looks like the webcomic. You can get it from Play Green House here. Enjoy the trailer below. :)

UPDATE: Forgot to mention they also have a demo available for each platform too. So you can try it out and see what it is like on your machine before you buy it.

Big Buck Bunny

Came across this animation movie that I thought was funny... Big Buck Bunny. Enjoy.

Big Buck Bunny from Blender Foundation on Vimeo.

If you like the video help out the Blender Foundation and buy a DVD of it. :)

Summer movies

Okay, so we've been talking about movies a bit as of late and with summer coming that means even more movies. I thought I could put something up here about what is coming out but then I came across Yahoo's Summer Movie Guide and they did a great job with this. Complete with trailers, summaries, and dates of release. So go have a look. Enjoy.

Wanted

So on June 27th Wanted will be released. What is Wanted? Well, it is a graphic novel by Mark Millar and JG Jones put out by Top Cow and will soon be a movie. Nice progression, huh? :). You can watch the trailers from Yahoo Video. I was hoping I could embed the trailer right here but haven't been able to get it working so go click on the links to view. :)
